Difference between QProcess::start and QProcess::startDetached

QProcess * p = new QProcess();
p->start("some-app");
delete p;// <---some-app will be terminated

QProcess * p = new QProcess();
p->startDetached("some-app");
delete p;// <---some-app will continue to live
